# Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bot on Discord. By adding the Bot to a server or using any of its commands, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

## 1. The Service

The Bot is a search utility that lets users find and link to files in a media archive via Discord slash commands, and submit requests to the Operator. The Bot is provided for personal, non-commercial use within Discord communities that have chosen to add it.

## 2. Eligibility

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement for your jurisdiction (typically 13, or older where local law requires) and comply with [Discord's Terms of Service](https://discord.com/terms) to use the Bot.

## 3. Acceptable Use

When using the Bot, you agree **not** to:

- Use it for any unlawful purpose, or to access, distribute, or request content you are not entitled to access.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, abuse, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Bot, the archive it searches, or the infrastructure either runs on.
- Use automated means to spam commands or circumvent rate limits and other safeguards.
- Use the `/request` feature or any other input to send abusive, harassing, illegal, or malicious content.

We may restrict or remove access to the Bot, in any server or for any user, at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms.

## 4. Content and Links

The Bot returns links to files hosted on a separate media archive. The Operator does not grant you any rights in that content beyond what the archive itself permits. You are responsible for how you use any content or links the Bot provides. The Operator is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or availability of content on the archive or any third-party destination.

## 5. Requests

The `/request` command sends your message to the Operator. Submitting a request does not guarantee any response, action, or addition of content. The Operator may act on, ignore, or delete requests at their discretion.

## 6. Availability

The Bot is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be online, uninterrupted, error-free, or that search results will be complete or accurate. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.

## 7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

## 8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Bot.

## 9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Bot after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
